Welcome to Forensic Card Grading (“FCG,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, grading services, submission process, and any related services provided by FCG. By accessing our website or submitting cards for grading, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms are based on the services, policies, and submission procedures described on the FCG website and submission forms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or submitting items for grading, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

FCG provides professional trading card grading, encapsulation, authentication review, and related collectible evaluation services. Grading assessments are based on FCG’s published grading criteria and standards.

All grades, subgrades, and evaluations are opinions based on the condition of the card at the time of review.

3. Submission Requirements

Customers submitting cards to FCG agree to:
  • Properly complete and include all required submission forms
  • Package cards securely for shipment
  • Provide accurate card descriptions and declared values
  • Use appropriate protective materials during shipping
  • Ship submissions to the address designated by FCG
FCG is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during transit to our facility.

4. Shipping and Risk of Loss

Customers assume all risk for shipments sent to FCG until the package is received and scanned by our facility.

FCG will take reasonable care while cards are in our possession; however, FCG shall not be liable for:

  • Damage caused by shipping carriers
  • Improper packaging by customers
  • Pre-existing defects or alterations
  • Losses resulting from inaccurate shipping information supplied by the customer
  • Events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, theft, carrier delays, or force majeure events
Return shipments are typically sent using FedEx or another carrier selected by FCG.

5. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are based on the selected service level and begin on the first full business day after cards are received by FCG.

Turnaround estimates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. Business days exclude weekends and federal holidays.

6. Pricing and Payment

Service pricing is listed on our website and submission forms and may change without notice.

Payment authorization must accompany all submissions. By submitting cards, you authorize FCG to charge the payment method provided for:

  • Grading fees
  • Shipping fees
  • Insurance fees
  • Optional service add-ons
  • Applicable taxes
If payment is declined, FCG may contact you using the information provided with your submission. Unpaid balances may result in delayed processing or additional collection actions as permitted by law.

7. Grading Opinions and No Guarantee of Value

All grades assigned by FCG represent professional opinions only.
FCG does not guarantee:
  • Future market value
  • Investment performance
  • Resale price
  • Appreciation of graded cards
  • Buyer acceptance of assigned grades
Card grading is inherently subjective despite the use of published grading standards and evaluation tools.

8. Altered, Trimmed, or Questionable Cards

If FCG determines or suspects that a card has been altered, trimmed, restored, recolored, counterfeit, or otherwise modified, FCG reserves the right to:
  • Refuse grading
  • Return the item ungraded
  • Label the item as altered or authentic only
  • Charge the applicable service fee
FCG’s determinations regarding alterations are final.

9. Autographs

FCG may assign an autograph grade based on the visible quality and clarity of a signature.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, FCG does not authenticate autographs and makes no warranty regarding the authenticity of any signature.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FCG’s total liability for any claim relating to a submission shall not exceed the declared value listed by the customer on the submission form or the amount paid for the applicable grading service, whichever is less.
FCG shall not be liable for:
  • Indirect damages
  • Consequential damages
  • Lost profits
  • Emotional distress
  • Market losses
  • Diminished collectible value

11. Website Use

You agree not to:
  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Copy or reproduce website content without permission
  • Upload malicious software or harmful code
  • Interfere with website functionality
FCG reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including logos, graphics, text, grading scales, images, branding, and design elements, is the property of FCG and protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

13. Social Media and Marketing Use

FCG may photograph or display submitted cards on its website, social media accounts, advertisements, or promotional materials unless a customer specifically requests otherwise in writing at the time of submission.

14. Refund Policy

Service fees are generally non-refundable once grading work has begun.
Refunds may be issued only at FCG’s sole discretion or where specifically required under a stated service guarantee.
Shipping charges, insurance fees, and optional services are non-refundable once incurred.

15. Privacy

Your use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Information submitted through forms, submissions, or communications may be used to provide services, process transactions, and communicate regarding orders.

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
